Better Protection, Control with Vaultize Endpoint Encryption
There’s no doubt that the cloud has arrived and is here to stay, but in spite of the reported benefits, many enterprises hesitate to entrust sensitive customer data to the cloud. Data security is something they feel that they can never compromise with.
However, Vaultize, the file sharing and data protection vendor, allays these fears with its corporate patent-pending endpoint encryption, which reportedly encrypts important files and data even before it leaves endpoints, protecting against data leakage in case of lost or stolen devices.
Based on the time proven technology of Windows encrypting file system, Vaultize claims to be the first in the industry to do encryption and de-duplication at source (patent-pending).
Endpoint encryption is completely transparent to the users and applications that use the files and claims to eliminate concerns about secure file sharing and endpoint backup data during both transit and storage.
“On-disk encryption fits naturally with file sharing and laptop backup. A well-designed and fully-integrated solution not only reduces the overheads of managing many different solutions from multiple vendors, but also brings better protection and control of unstructured data within the organization,” said Anand Kekre, CEO and co-founder of Vaultize.
The best part is that enterprise-wide endpoint encryption offer customers different deployment options. They can either choose a public cloud that’s hosted in Rackspace (News - Alert), a private cloud that’s hosted on-premises, with a cloud provider chosen by the customer, or can opt for a ‘cloud-in-a box’ appliance. In all cases, encryption can be controlled through a centralized administration console.
Recently, Vaultize unveiled its data privacy option for enterprises that lets customers retain full control over encryption keys. The launch will further help businesses secure their sensitive data on endpoints, complementing its file sync/sharing, endpoint backup offering and Google apps backup.
NEC (News
- Alert) India, an IT solutions provider, decided to jointly go to market with Vaultize's enterprise cloud backup, sharing and mobility platform through NEC's cloud aggregator platform. This will enable both companies to further penetrate the market and offer a bouquet of services to enterprises.
