Giglinx Ventures into VoIP Market
A market forecast report by market research firm Infonetics (News - Alert) Research titled “VoIP and UC Services and Subscribers” had forecasted that the combined business and residential voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) services market would grow to $74.5 billion in 2015, with managed IP PBX (News - Alert) business VoIP service to double during this time. In addition, the fastest growing segments of the VoIP services market were found to be SIP trunking and hosted UC telephony.
Cashing in on this trend, Giglinx – a provider of wholesale bandwidth, CDN (Content Delivery Network) and colocation services – has ventured into the VoIP market by launching VoIP and voice solution services.
According to Giglinx, the company ventured into the VoIP market after the appointment of senior voice and data solutions architect Offir Schwartz.
As a provider of custom, flexible solutions to businesses of any size, Giglinx has been providing wholesale online infrastructure support systems and services to a huge customer base.
Some of the clients leveraging Giglinx’s Internet infrastructure services include Google (News
- Alert), Novartis and Citrix on wholesale prices. Currently, it has more than 450 Gbps of sustained bandwidth on net.
By launching VoIP and voice solution services, Giglinx now offers bandwidth, colocation, hosted PBX, hosted call center, SIP trunking, fiber optics Internet, T1, high speed Internet, Ethernet, metro Ethernet, VoIP and voice solution services - all at wholesale prices.
According to a company statement, Giglinx is planning to launch video services and unified communications (UC) in the later part of this year.
Company officials said, “Giglinx is among the top providers of wholesale Internet infrastructure and colocation services in America that wants to become a market leader in the VoIP and voice solution services sector too.”
Giglinx provides IP transit services with carriers such as Level 3, Comcast, Global Crossing (News
- Alert), Abovenet and AT&T. Its CDN services feature lower CDN costs, support for small and large objects, streaming and caching and provides access to multiple specialized CDNs with Giglinx service solutions.
