Telestra Global to Provide IP Transit Services to Support Turn's Cloud Marketing Platform

January 24, 2013

Turn, a provider of real-time data insights and cross-channel marketing campaign performance, recently selected Telstra (News - Alert) Global, a supplier of managed network services and international data, voice and satellite services, to provide IP transit services as it expands into Asia. Telstra will support Turn’s big data-based cloud marketing platform, which makes more than 30 billion advertising decisions and analyzes more than 1.5 trillion customer attributes with highly secure, reliable and scalable connectivity into Asia.

Telstra’s network and hosting services will support the rapid delivery of Turn’s platform. From audience design and campaign planning to real-time optimization and just-in-time analytics, the cloud platform enables smart choices, precise control and improved ROI for advertising budgets of any size.

“Telstra Global is ideally positioned to accommodate our rapid expansion as we scale up our operations into Asia. It met our needs precisely by offering this flexibility within a very non-standard telecoms brief,” said Dominic Bennett, senior vice president of engineering, Turn, in a statement.

Turn chose Telstra Global to provide low-latency, high-performance and highly available connectivity to support its new operations in Asia, having recently finalized its European network infrastructures in Amsterdam and London.

Additionally, it will use Telstra Global’s EPL links with diverse routes as well as its Hong Kong IP transit and data center services. Telestra’s IP transit service is ideal for fixed and mobile broadband providers, content network providers, cloud-based service providers and large enterprise customers, offering benefits such as global coverage, resilient network infrastructure, responsive and personal customer service and flexibility and scalability.

Features of the service include extensive IP backbone coverage, strong domestic and international peering, low-latency traffic routing into China, platinum and standard service options, online reporting and service levels.

Telstra Global’s Managing Director, Martijn Blanken, said, “Businesses capitalizing on growth opportunities in Asia are looking for sustainable growth and services that meet business objectives like scalability and reliability. We are pleased to be able to offer our local expertise alongside a one-stop-shop experience to support Turn’s growth in Asia.”

Telestra offers many other services for network solutions, hosting and security and wholesale voice, including global Ethernet, colocation, global IP conferencing solutions, virtual contact centers and satellite services.
