Alpheus Communications Opens Second Data Center at Downtown Dallas
Alpheus Communications (News - Alert), a provider of Texas metro-regional fiber and networking solutions, has opened a new data center, its second, in downtown Dallas, at the heart of the city’s business district, expanding its footprint in the Texan data center and network market.
Alpheus provides a complete portfolio of metro Ethernet, IP transit, regional long-haul and managed network services. Alpheus' high-performance network includes more than 6,000 miles of metro and long-haul fiber. With its fully redundant infrastructure, the company supports its customers’ IT and cloud computing needs.
Alpheus’ new facility will enable the company to provide colocation, disaster recovery, redundancy and other managed services to companies based in DFW, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and throughout Texas.
In addition to its downtown location, the facility also boasts diverse fiber route with a 200 Gigabit DWDM connection to Alpheus' fiber backbone, giving Alpheus enterprise customers immense strategic advantage. The data center is powered by one of the city's strongest and most reliable electrical grids.
This SSAE 16 SOC 3 certified center offers raised floor space, true 2N power to every cabinet and fully redundant HVAC system with N+1 cooling.
Businesses can also choose from customizable colocation options for racks, cabinets and cages, including flexible power configuration and remote hands support, the company clarified in a news statement.

In other news, Alpheus Communications announced that it has expanded its capabilities to provide Ethernet services to the Rio Grande Valley.
