Cologix Partners with Giglinx to Extend Reach to Network Neutral Colocation Customers
Colocation is a hosting option for small businesses who want the features of a large IT department without the costs. A network neutral data center is a data center that allows interconnection between multiple telecom carriers and/or collocation providers.
Giglinx, a provider of IP transit, wholesale bandwidth, content delivery network (CDN) and colocation services, has partnered with Cologix, a network neutral interconnection and colocation company, to extend its reach to network neutral colocation customers.
“We form strategic partnerships with companies that augment and complement Cologix’s platform reach,” said Todd Coleman, chief operating officer, Cologix. “Giglinx has an impressive track record in enabling their partners through flexible and customizable solutions and we look forward to the Cologix platform being a part of their offering.”
Giglinx customers will have access to Cologix’s 11 North American network neutral data centers, including the major carrier hotels in each of the five markets they operate in; Dallas, Minneapolis, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
“Many of our customers value connectivity choice as a primary avenue to reduce their total costs of ownership,” stated Marcus Mamolen, president, Giglinx. “Cologix services add an important option for our customers to realize that value.”
With more than 300 network choices and 11 prime interconnection locations, Cologix currently serves more than 550 carrier, managed services, cloud, media, content, financial services and enterprise customers. Its services offer support to network operators and network buyers who need to connect with each other within its data centers. Each of Cologix’s markets offers its customers network choice, low switching costs and rapid scalability via access to a Meet-Me-Room environment.
Partnering with industry leading companies leverages world-class infrastructure to supply our customers with networking features that few providers can match. Giglinx provides many options when it comes to IP transit service. Giglinx provides IP Transit services with respected carriers such as Level 3, Comcast (News - Alert), Global Crossing, Abovenet and AT&T.
