IP Transit: Teledata Mozambique Taps DiViNetworks for Capacity Expansion

The growing demand for bandwidth is forcing several telecommunications providers across the world to find affordable ways to expand IP transit. Companies that offer capacity expansion services are benefitting from this demand.

Recently DiViNetworks, a provider of Internet capacity expansion services, announced Teledata, a Mozambique-based telecommunications provider, has selected DiViCloud service to expand IP transit capacity.

DiViNetworks launched its ground-breaking solution DiViCloud in January. The cloud-based data capacity expansion solution provides data capacity from the cloud, eliminating the excessive investment in networking infrastructure, according to company officials.

Commenting on this development, Dr. Yair Shapira, VP Marketing and Business Development of DiViNetworks, said, "Our goal is to bring affordable IP connectivity to all ISPs worldwide, enabling broadband access to all. Teledata Mozambique is a great addition to our customers' portfolio."

DiViNetworks’ cloud-based IP transit solution has the ability to generate data capacity at any location worldwide, over any combination of physical capacity providers, allowing communications providers to expand bandwidth at affordable price.

DiViCloud helps ISPs expand capacity in a cost-effective way. The IP transit solution compresses the data traffic on its way to the ISP, making the path clear for more data to flow. As the compacted data reaches the ISP, a local DiViCloud device reverts the traffic back to its original form, without losing a single byte. The service is offered at major Internet junctions, so ISPs can get the service at a much lower price than offered by competitors.

"The innovative virtual capacity concept provided by DiViNetworks changes the economics of our network," says António Sousa, CEO of Teledata Mozambique, in a statement. "Instead of leasing more capacity, we merely placed a standard server in our network, and more bytes started to flow."

In a similar announcement in December, DiViNetworks announced that Comteco, a provider of integrated telecommunication services in Bolivia, selected DiViNetworks as its data capacity expansion provider.
