Telx Expands C3 Cloud Connection Center Portfolio
Telx, a provider of interconnection and data center services, revealed that it has opened a new Cloud Connection Center in Silicon Valley. This is the company’s 17th Center and would provide premium colocation and interconnection services capable of supporting up to 400 Watts per square foot within the green-designed Vantage Data Centers campus in Santa Clara, CA (News - Alert).
With this new C3 data center, Silicon Valley would be provided with unmatched speed, security, access for social networking, e-commerce, gaming, cloud services, storage and Internet connectivity requirements. This new data center can support power density up to 400 Watts per square foot in a 2N redundant infrastructure design and would ensure that it is the most environmental friendly in the country by demonstrating Power Usage Effectiveness rating below 1.3 to maximize energy efficiency.
Telx explained that its C3 (News - Alert) Cloud Connection Centers offer data center services such as premium power, space, redundancy and also its InterConnection portfolio of connectivity options. These centers ensure vital networks are completely secured and get high degree of interconnectivity.
Officials with the company noted that leveraging their new Vantage Data Centers campus location, Telx is well positioned to meet the demands of Silicon Valley organizations by offering a rich portfolio of colocation and interconnection services – at the lowest energy pricing – that surpass area competitors. Now, California-based companies have the option to instantly take advantage of cloud-based services while leveraging unprecedented connectivity to the rest of the world.
Vantage Data Centers added that as its campus InterConnection Center operator, Telx will bring considerable expertise and experience in connecting the world's most in-demand networks, helping other tenants at this location add value to their colocated infrastructure by building communities of interest. Enterprise colocation customers in Telx’s Santa Clara C3 data center can also connect with its 200 Paul facility in San Francisco – one of the most carrier-dense InterConnection Centers in the nation.
